Today we will look at Obedience and submission to Authority

"Children obey your parents in the Lord" Ephesians 6:1

As I was ready thru this topic I was really hit when Brook spoke about a conference she had been to and it was said "Ladies, if your man cannot submit to Jesus, he can not lead you. A man must be willing to be led before he can truly lead." It hit me because Nick's obedience is not just about me!;o) I am truely helping to train him not just for his life but for a wife and a family. The magnatitude is huge to me and i guess i never really looked it in this light!

Today commit to pray the 10 prayers in the submission to authority chapter. Make a point of praising your son for a choice he makes to submit to authority.

I'm not perfect, I'm not super Mom and I can't do it all and I am working on being ok with that!

I love being Mom and everything that it entails. I love my life, I work full time, lead a Bible Study group and am part of a Single Mom's ministry.
But
I am also divorced. I have found that I hate the term "Single Mom" so much that I have spent 8 years proving that I can do it all. A lot of time by falling on my face. I suck at asking for help, I hate saying "No", and I take a lot of things personal that are not personal. I struggle with my weight and a thyroid autoimmune disease. BUT I love this crazy season God has me in and am walking this out thanks to some crazy friends and awesome family.

This is my journey of learn that I am ok and I don't have to do it all. I am hoping to find healthy boundaries, growth in the Lord and encourage other single parents along the way.
